Expensive Tastes

The most expensive diamond jewelry I have found available online so far is shown below via the Amazon storefront. These pieces are available for normal online purchase unlike some of the worlds most expensive jewelry which only comes up for auction sporadically. These pieces are a snip compared to the millions paid (about $16 million actually…) by Guess Jeans founder Georges Marciano for the 84+ carat “Chloe Diamond” in Nov 2007, or the $16.5m paid in 1995 for the “Star of the Season”. Pink diamond jewelry is enjoying new popularity, partly due to some celebrities tastes for these expensive diamonds. Natural pink diamonds are very rare and largely come from Argyle Diamonds in Australia.

Careful though – not all pink diamonds are naturally pink and expensive! Jewelers have developed artificial coloring methods and you’ll need to be wary of this if you’re in the market.
